UniKL is ranked in QS World University Rankings (WUR) for the first time ever in the 2022 ranking released by QS on 8 June 2021. UniKL is the only new entrant from Malaysia in the ranking and also among the highest ranked technical universities. A total of 1,300 universities were ranked worldwide.

Last year, UniKL also made the debut in Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking at 1001-1527 position. These achievements marked UniKL enhanced global presence and research capabilities where QS put 50% emphasis on the institution’s reputation in the ranking while THE focuses 60% of its scoring on research indicators.
