Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL)’s academic subjects have earned recognition from the international university ranking, Times Higher Education (THE), marking another milestone in the university’s global presence.
UniKL was ranked 601–800 in Business and Economics (Top 10 in Malaysia), 801–1000 in Engineering (Top 10 in Malaysia) and 801+ in Computer Science (Top 13 in Malaysia), according to 2023 THE World University Rankings by Subject, released yesterday.

This colossal feat came after UniKL was made to the list of 2023 THE World University Rankings at 1201-1500 and in the top 14 amongst Malaysian universities.
Notably, the results cover 11 subject areas and provide an overview of the best places in the world to study a chosen discipline.
The subject areas are namely Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Clinical and Health, Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Psychology, and Social Sciences.
The rankings were based on the same 13 criteria as the world rankings.
