Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) has again received a resounding endorsement from the TVET education sphere by winning Gold in Institusi Terbaik (Peringkat Ijazah) category at the Anugerah Institusi Pendidikan TVET@KPLB 2022 ceremony, today.
It was even momentous when UniKL Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC) followed up with Silver, whilst, University College of Agroscience Malaysia (UCAM) brought home Bronze.
Held for the first time, the award ceremony also honoured seven other awards to four institutes of UniKL, which were presented by the Minister of Rural Development, YB Dato’ Seri Mahdzir Khalid at Premiera Hotel.
Of the total, UniKL won all three awards in the Pengajar Terbaik (Peringkat Ijazah) category through Dr. Rifqi Irzuan Abdul Jalal from UniKL Malaysia France Institute (Gold); Ts. Dr. Bazilah A. Talip from UniKL MIIT (Silver); and Ts. Dr. Mohd Amran Mohd Daril from UniKL MITEC (Bronze).
In the Pelajar Terbaik (Peringkat Ijazah) Category, Maisarah Mohd. Ramli and Aiman Syah Husin from UniKL MIIT, contributed Gold and Silver respectively.
Meanwhile, Dr. Aliff Radzuan Mohamad Radzi from UniKL Malaysian Institute of Chemical & Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET) has been named Ikon TVET@KPLB for the Academic Category, whilst Muhamad Alif Hamdi from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI) was conferred with the same honour in the Skills Category.
Dato’ Seri Mahdzir said that the award is in recognition and appreciation for the efforts and outstanding achievements of the institution, teaching staff, students and alumni under the TVET@KPLB programme.
“Anugerah TVET@KPLB was also designed to increase motivation as well as encourage more active achievements and contributions by the institution, teaching staff, students and alumni.
“I am deeply proud of the achievements all TVET Institutions under KPLB have achieved in various fields,” remarked him.
A total of 280 KPLB TVET educational institutions participated in the four contested award categories.
The categories are Institusi Terbaik, Pengajar Terbaik, Pelajar Terbaik and Ikon TVET@KPLB. Each winner receives a cash prize, a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.
